In either case, your donation will be handled on behalf of IHA-UDP by Glenfall Fellowship Trust, which is a UK registered charity, number 1079714. If you are a UK taxpayer, then we can claim back the amount of tax paid on your donation under the Gift Aid scheme. To take advantage of this, please enclose a signed Gift Aid declaration with your donation.
Gift Aid notes
You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equivalent to the tax that Glenfall Fellowship will reclaim on your donation in the tax year (currently 28p for every £1 you give).
If in the future your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains equal to the tax that Glenfall Fellowship reclaims, you can cancel your declaration.
If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return.
Supporters outside the UK are very welcome to send donations via Glenfall Fellowship (although please note that Gift Aid will not apply). Further details can be obtained from Glenfall's own website, www.glenfall.org.uk. There are, of course, other organisations around the world who support IHA-UDP, and who may be able to accept donations for the Project's work. If you wish to make a donation by bank transfer directly to the IHA-UDP office in Addis Ababa, please contact the office directly by email.
